“We would like to ensure that personal support is available to our international community.”
Richard Michel, e-government advisor for the municipality of Ede, in the province of Gelderland.
The municipality of Ede is focused on offering services in a way that customers have access and control from their own digital environment. We see that the contact and channels through which we guide our customers changes. In the past, we mostly guided customers at our physical desks, but it has become increasingly important to offer digital forms and a digital environment through which thousands of citizens and businesses can be serviced at the same time.
The collaboration of our municipality in Food Valley and the proximity to Wageningen University has allowed us to grow to a more international community. This includes students, expats and tourists. We would like to ensure that personal support is available for them. Participating as a front-runner in eIDAS helps us to achieve this goal.
