“eIDAS fits well with Wolters Kluwers vision and plans for the future.”
Marcel Rademakers, Senior Architect and Asset Manager of Global Identity and Access Management at Wolters Kluwer.
“At this very moment, international clients can already login to our services,” Marcel tells us. “but they have to use their own online accounts and national systems. We intend to create one equal system for all clients, in which national and international clients can log in with their own credentials. eIDAS fits very well in this plan. Besides that, many of our legal customers will probably start using their national eID for their login transactions. We can connect to that system and give them easy access to our services as well. As soon as we are able to give clients access with their own national eID, we won’t need to perform extra checks on their identity. The eIDs are trustworthy because they are validated by trusted authorities
eIDAS is useful in many different ways.
“We see other possibilities with eIDAS as well”, Marcel continues. “For example as a marketing tool for our e-Sign Solution to have contracts signed electronically with business partners abroad. eIDAS is a good match with our plans for our digital future in many different ways. Currently we work with Connectis on the technical update of our systems and on obtaining the supporting certificates. As soon as this process is finished, we are eIDAS ready not only in terms of vision but also in practice.”
You will not longer have to remember numberless accounts and passwords.
There is a world of opportunities waiting in the field of online business transactions, national and international. Also for us as citizens and consumers, I think it must be fantastic if you can arrange everything you want online without having to create and remember numberless accounts and passwords. That will make the world so much easier and safer.
